At first glance, it seems minimalist. However, the spirit of Japanese Bushido and Wabi-Sabi is breathed into its form. The flowing lines of a samurai's kimono, the carefully designed silhouette, and the meticulous attention to detail in the tailoring. These jackets, which are easy to move in and beautifully flatter the wearer's body language, can be worn casually or formally, and will enhance your individuality in any situation.
Designed with a special focus on patterns
This design was completed after repeated prototyping in order to incorporate the traditional kimono structure into a silhouette that fits modern fashion while at the same time making the most of its traditional structure. Everything from the shoulder line and sleeve expanse to the balance of the front opening has been calculated to create a beautiful form. The result is a piece that gives a sophisticated impression just by wearing it.
Beautiful silhouette with shoulder drop
Kimonos are made with the technique of Japanese dressmaking and have a one-design structure that can be altered to suit the growth of the wearer and worn for a long period of time. Therefore, the basic silhouette is a T-shape of the alphabet, and if reproduced as clothing as is, the shoulder area becomes straight, and depending on the wearer, the shoulders may be emphasized, making the wearer look fat.
Therefore, for the Samurai Mode Jacket, the designer incorporated western sewing techniques to design a pattern that allows the shoulders to fall naturally. By allowing the shoulder line to flow softly, a silhouette that conforms to the body is achieved without making the shoulders appear too wide. The result is a beautiful silhouette that is easy to move in while giving a clean look.
Luxurious high-end black formal fabrics with a focus on the color black
The Samurai Mode Jacket is made of high-grade black formal wear fabric. It is characterized by a deep black color that changes depending on the way the light hits it, and has an air of dignity that is comparable to that of a formal occasion. It has an appropriate thickness and smooth texture, and its elegant silk-like luster creates a sophisticated atmosphere for elegant adults.
The fabric has a relaxed feel and is comfortable to wear like a breeze.
To achieve both lightness and a flowing silhouette, we paid particular attention to the selection of fabrics. The triacetate and mixed spinning fabrics we used are materials with a sense of fall.
The jacket contains wind as it moves, swaying gently, just like a breeze in a feather. It gently conforms to the body, providing both comfort and elegance.
“Chi” on the haori of a kimono can be worn as you like with haori string accessories
This jacket is decorated with rings called “chi,” which can be seen on kimono haori. By threading a haori cord or original accessories through this loop, you can add individuality to this simple jacket. This is a playful design that can be arranged according to the scene or mood.
A modern design with pockets that are not included in kimonos and can be used in everyday life
Functional pockets not found in kimono haori. Inside, deep pockets on both sides are designed for easy storage of smartphones and other small items. A pocket chief can also be inserted in the breast pocket, giving a formal impression or adding volume to the chest area, adding convenience that is in line with modern lifestyles without compromising the beauty of the kimono.
