Hello everyone, it's Tak, designer.

Today is July 7, Tanabata in Japan.
It is not like Hikoboshi and Orihime who meet once a year on Tanabata, but my son’s mother come to Nikko today to meet with him, so I am writing this newsletter in between the meeting.

I have completed the design phase of the Japanese set-up that I am currently informing you about and am in the process of making patterns (blueprints for clothes) with our pattern maker Tanigawa-san and myself.

Today, I will show you the first design I drew. From here, we decide on the fabric, structure, etc., and start the pattern process. I also decide on a formal name for the garment, and proceed from pattern to sample sewing, taking into consideration the ease of sewing details, strength, comfort, and so on.
In the next issue, I will be able to show pictures of the toile (a temporary sample made with a needle, not sewn, in sheeting fabric) made in the process of pattern making.

We may start crowdfunding as an experiment, showing the production process before sewing samples and taking pictures. We will share the process of the finished product with everyone and continue to make good clothes.
