Three men in kimono— Stand quietly before the canvas. Even before the brush touches the paper, The air in the room grows slightly charged. As if to break the silence, one begins to move his brush.
Then, the hands of the other two start moving naturally too. What they paint differs. Their line habits, their worlds—each distinct. However,a sense of “the same flow” undeniably existed in that moment. These three—“Bonsai Brothers”. Animator, illustrator, manga artist. Three individuals who have lived in different worlds come together as a live painting unit, creating the same rhythm through the single act of drawing. Through our connection with KUDEN's charity project “Samurai Sword Jam Character Design,” which creates jobs at disability welfare facilities and sewing factories, rinlife Magazine this time followed the live painting sessions of three artists at the SF convention “Kama-con.”
