■ 1. Catch up
Hello everyone. I'm Takahiro Sato, a.k.a. Tak, the designer. My son started his second semester this week, and for the first time in a while, I am busy with school drop-off and pick-up, work, and elder care.
Thank you very much for your crowdfunding support! We are now preparing for production with the sewing factory. We will carefully make and deliver the product to you. Personally, I am very much looking forward to seeing the finished Chill shirts. Although it is polyester, the fabric has a linen-like finish, and it is very easy to wear and I would like to have several colors of this shirt....
Also, next week we will be shooting new products in Tokyo with the support of Mr.Sakiju and Ms.Taro. There will be kimono coats, Japanese setups, Japanese work jackets, monpe pants. Many new items.
I will be the photographer this time. I am also working on various plans for the shoot.
In addition, as a double announcement, the KUDEN Premium line (prêt-à-porter = luxury ready-to-wear) will soon be launched.
KUDEN's premium prêt-à-porter (high-end ready-to-wear) products will be available, which will be made by one of Japan's most highly skilled artisans, using only the finest fabrics and sewn for you from start to finish after your order has been placed.
The first products are Samurai Mode Jacket Premium Wool and Samurai Mode PantsII Premium Wool made of 100% high quality wool. The outer fabric is black, but you can choose your favorite color for the lining. In a normal sewing factory, each process is divided into different sections, and several people work on a line to finish one garment.
It actually takes a great deal of skill to be able to sew one piece of clothing all by oneself, and there are very few artisans who can do this, which is called "maruage," or “marunui", in the industry. A new Premium line in which artisans sew carefully and thoughtfully for you, taking responsibility for every last stitch. 1The new Premium line is designed based on the motif of a kimono that can be loved for 10 years, so you can enjoy it while taking care of it for a long time without being affected by trends.
In line with this, we will start repair and cleaning services next week, ahead of other services in Japan. This is a service where your jackets and pants will be repressed (finishing press) and returned to you with beautiful care. Since KUDEN is domestically sewn and priced high, we will continue to enhance our services so that you can enjoy them for a long time without getting tired of them.
Starting next week, We are preparing for the "Outlet Project! This is a project in which KUDEN clothes that have been found to be damaged during the production process and are therefore classified as "B" items at the inspection stage will be sold at a great discount to customers who are satisfied with the quality. We do not have a large number of such items, but this will be our effort as an Ethical brand that is not disposable. Please look forward to it.
Thank you for supporting my dream of creating a place to work with my disabled son. See you next week.
Tak
