The protagonist of this work. He is the only sword smith who can handle steel, a rare metal, to make Katana.He is one-eyed. 

However, at the beginning of the story, he is not working as a sword smith, and lives with his son collecting scrap iron because disgusted by the fact that Katana is a tool for fighting and hurting people, so he goes into hiding.

After he decided to take up swordsmithing again for the sake of his son and to protect people.

Since then, he has been wearing Samurai Mode with his Katana.

He decides to pass on his skills to his son in order to give him the strength to live on his own after his death.

He stands up for the inheritance of his skills and for altruistic love (his son). AKA Taka.
