Priority reserved for subscriberPre order sale for Shirt II KASANE start

We are pleased to announce that we will be offering pre-orders of Samurai Mode Shirt II KASANE, which has been well-received by customers in Japan and abroad since its launch, with top priority given to subscribers to our mail magazine.

“Pre order sale” is an initiative to reduce inventory risk and waste by allowing customers to pre-order products that are already scheduled to be produced at sewing factories in pre-determined quantities.
In exchange, customers receive a discount from the regular price of INSTOCK sales.
Therefore, since the number of colors and sizes are already in production, subscribers to this mail magazine will be given top priority so that you can be the first to get the color and size you want.
In particular, S and M are the best sellers in terms of size. Also, the colors Black (body) x White (collar) and Black (body) x Red (collar) tend to run out of stock early.
If you are looking for short sleeves, colors, or sizes, don't miss this opportunity!

■ 2. Catch up

Hello everyone.
I’m Designer Takahiro Sato aka Tak.
I wrote this week's update last minute because I was out of the office for my son's parent-teacher conference & it was snowing like crazy!
I have been living with my son for 6 months.

I went to a parent-teacher conference at the school for my son who has moved to the elementary section of a special needs school and will soon be a junior high school student.
Due to some reasons, I have to drive my son to and from school every day as he is unable to use the school bus.
Through my experience that go to school everyday, communicate with other students including son’s classmates, I have a stronger desire,  I want to employ graduates of this school at KUDEN for people with disabilities! I want to build a small sewing factory for Japanese and Western clothing in Nikko even if it’s small one!

Newest item “Kimono Gown (tentative name)” is now developed on pattern step, a pattern maker is making a toile for us. In the meantime, we are selecting fabrics and materials such as buttons. Also I think about theme of photo shooting, making ready for release one by one. In plan, we will get the toile from patten maker next Wednesday. I think I can share its photo in not too long, maybe next issue.

From tomorrow, we’ll start pre order sale for Samurai Mode Shirt II KASANE.
Let me tell you a story about the shooting of KASANE Shirt.KUDEN Charity was the connection to the radio appearances of Mr. Shijoh (animator), Ms. Hinomoto (manga artist) and I asked to be the model  to 3 parsonalities, so I rented a studio in Shibuya and shot the photo.

Thank you for reading. It is still very cold in Japan, please take care of your health everyone. See you next time.

■ 3. KUDEN clothes care point by staff Sena

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Sena, a KUDEN staff member, also handles PR, translation, and voice acting. But within the company, he is known as the ironing master. Sena has always loved ironing and does it before each KUDEN photo shoot, and since KUDEN's clothes have gimmicks and designs not found in other brands, ironing requires a certain knack. This is a care corner by Sena, who receives tips and advice from sewing artisans and concierges.
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

【KUDEN's Clothes Care Points】
"Can wash the Samurai Mode Series at home or not? List"

This is staff Sena. For the first issue, I have created a list of whether or not the item can be washed at home, which we receive many questions about from our customers. I am only a non-professional, so please use it as a reference and feel free to contact me if you have any questions about how to take care of the item. I will check with our concierge and suggest the best method.

So let's get right to the point!

■Samurai Mode Jacket Standard Model
Main Fabric:Triacetate
↓↓↓↓
×

Dry cleaning recommended. It is OK if you tell the dry cleaner that it is triacetate fabric. (You can go to a regular dry cleaner, not a kimono store! However, depending on the store, the price may be the kimono price, not the regular jacket price)

■Samurai Mode Jacket Eco
Main fabric:Recycled polyester
↓↓↓↓

This material can be washed at home, but care is necessary! After hand-washing, please remove all water from the fabric and lay it flat and dry in the shade. (If you hang it on a hanger with a lot of water, it will lose its shape due to the weight.)
Try to stretch out wrinkles by hand when it is still wet. ( I will talk about ironing in detail another time!) If you are unsure, ask a dry cleaner! (You can go to a regular dry cleaner, not one that specializes in kimonos! However, depending on the store, the price may be the kimono price, not the regular jacket price)

■Samurai Mode Jacket Custom Model
It depends on whether the main fabric is triacetate or recycled polyester! The same fabric is used in the above jackets.

■Samurai Mode Pants II Standard Model
Main Fabric:Triacetate
↓↓↓↓
×

Dry cleaning recommended. Especially the pleats are difficult to care for, so leave them to the professionals! If you do, please inform them that the fabric is also triacetate.

■Samurai Mode Pants II Eco
Main fabric:Recycled polyester
↓↓↓↓

The material can be washed at home, but care is necessary! Basically, the same care method should be used as for jackets, but it is better to fold the pleats neatly (place a light weight on the pleats to prevent ato from sticking to them). Ironing after drying is also the key!

■Samurai Mode Shirt II
Main fabric:Cotton
↓↓↓↓

If using a washing machine, be sure to put them in a laundry net, as the strings can get caught in them! It is best to wash white shirts separately, as color migration is a concern when they are wet. When washing by hand, drain water thoroughly and stretch out wrinkles by hand. If the shirt is “a little wet" to some extent, you can iron it as is for a hassle-free and beautiful finish! (We will introduce this another time)

■Samurai Mode Shirt II KASANE
Main fabric:Cotton
↓↓↓↓

Just like a normal shirt! Especially the collar part is easy to be wrinkled, so please make sure to shape it well when you dry it. (Basically, iron it clean!)

■Samurai Mode Juban Shirt
Main fabric:Cotton
↓↓↓↓

The basics are the same as for a normal shirt, but the key point is the eyelet on the back. The friction of the washing machine can damage the strings, so if you are concerned about this, please remove the strings. Also, be careful not to let other things stick to the Velcro on the collar part. There are so many points to be concerned about, in fact, I basically hand-wash! When drying, please make sure to drain the water well, especially if water remains on the eyelet, as it may cause rusting.

■Samurai Mode Blouse
Main fabric:Cotton
↓↓↓↓

The basics are the same as for a normal shirt. I basically hand-wash this one as well, since the lace and back ties are delicate. Actually, the strings on the back are thinner than those on the Juban Shirt! (It's the kind of string that makes artisans cry...!)

That's all.

The Samurai Mode Jacket worn by our staff has already been worn for about 4 years, and KUDEN's clothes can be worn for a long time if you take good care of them because our designers are particular about fabrics and sewing.
If there is any other information you would like to know about how to take care of your clothes, we will introduce it in our mail magazine. We are also preparing to release an ironing video, so please look forward to it!

This is Staff Sena.
See you soon!

Novel「KUDEN 口伝 -Samurai Sword Jam-」

Ep.01 Iron Scraper 03

“Takeru! Your Dad comes to help you!"
“Katana is here. Come out!"

The muscular man who kidnapped Takeru emerges from the rubble on the second floor of the collapsed building.

“Hey, Welcome”
“Show me your Katana”
“Takeru is safe? Where is he!?”

A muscular man looks behind him and two men, who appear to be his subordinates, bring Takeru, whose body is bound and his mouth is covered with a cloth.

When Takeru finds his father, he calls out to him as best he can with his mouth closed.

“Takeru!”
“Whoa, don't move any further.”

“Put Katana on your front and step back! ...Hmm. I heard it’s a dagger.
Hey, what’s that Long katana? You tricked me?"
“Wait!"

This Katana is also a real one made of forged steel.

It is more valuable than a dagger.
You can have this one.
So hurry up and let go of Takeru!”

After saying this, Taka placed Katana in its black sheath on the floor and slowly backed away with his hands raised.

“Anyway, First, I'll make sure Katana is real.”

Hey! The man sends his henchman to get Katana.

At the moment when the man touch Katana that his henchman put out his both hands, a chill runs through him.

“What the hell is this Katana?”

The man also went through a number of hardships and survived. He was a man of many battles who united his fellows.

Every possible cell in the man's body was issuing a warning.

...No No No...

What a disaster...

As if to shake off the chills down his spine, the man took Katana from his subordinate, and stares at it.

Then, with all his strength, he pulls the sword out of its sheath.

“Can't I pull it out?”

The man, who boasts of his strength, once again pulls out Katana with all his might.

"Nnnngh. What, it won't come out!

The man shouted as if to say to Taka.

“That’s what I thought. You tricked me?A fake that wouldn't come out of its sheath!”
At the moment he shout,

The subordinate who was holding Takeru lets out a low moan and falls down.

“Taka, Takeru is safe. I'll protect him!"

Harada shouts with Takeru in his arms.

“You bastards did it!"

The man's face turns red with anger as he grips Katana in the sheath.
During this exchange, the sound of many footsteps can be heard coming from behind the ruins.
The man's fellows hear the commotion and come toward him.

Harada holds Takeru in his arms, his own back resting on Taka's back, and turns his attention to his surroundings.

His usual aloof expression is overshadowed by a serious look on his face.

“Oh man, this is bad. We're surrounded. What should we do? Taka?”

Taka nodded.

“I had no problem with it as long as I got Katana. I wanted to keep it no-problem.

Well, I'm not going to give it back to you for nothing if you mock me in front of my men like this!

A dozen or more of the man's men surround Taka, the muzzle of the gun in their hands pointed at them all at once.

Taka is relieved to see that Takeru is safe.

He gently pats Takeru's head.

After a moment of contemplation, he exhaled heavily, stared at the man in front of him with a determined look.

Taka thrust his left hand forward as if to grab the man in front of him and shouts loudly.

“Come on! Raikiri-maru Chidori!”

As if in response to his voice,

The black Katana in the muscular man's hand begins to take on a reddish-black aura.

A moment later, Katana left the man's hand and flew powerfully straight into your left hand.

Feeling the shock in his left hand,

Taka gripped the sheath of Katana with strong determination and strength, almost like giving up halfway through.

Inhaling deeply, he gripped it with his right hand.

It was a very natural movement, Katana slipped out of its sheath.

A reddish-black aura overflows from the blade of Katana as seen through the sheath.

With his right hand, he pointed the tip of Katana to the sky.

More reddish-black aura emanates from the blade and rises to the heavens.

The sky around the area begins to cloud over with blackness.

All the people there could only watch the bizarre scene.

A moment later, a bolt of lightning strikes Katana from the heavens.

It looked just like the wrath of the heavens.

Taka turned his Katana, lightning bolt by lightning bolt, toward the enemy, and swung down mercilessly.

With a thunderous roar, all the guns pointed at him were instantly cut in half.

Taka said to his enemies, who were terrified by the slashing of his gun.

"Next, I'll take your life.”

His voice was emotionally deadly.

They runs away from the thing that realizes the gravity of the situation, fishing with his shaking legs.

One muscular man remains motionless.

“You guys, fall back!"

And the man who stares at Taka and smiles happily.

“It seems that it's not just Katana…There seems to be a secret that I don't know about.
Damn. They hid it from me.”

"Well, I'll leave you here!
My name is Ichigo. I'm the head of a small band of thieves.
Swordsmith! See you again!"
“Hey, little boy, teach me painting again!”
“See you later!”

When the bandits were out of sight.
Taka puts Katana in its sheath.

Katana had lost its sinister aura.

“Hey, Taka.
What is your Katana? Who the hell are you?"

Harada's question was not answered.
Taka hugged Takeru.
